Bayliner’s Element has won yet again, this time as the Powerboat of the Year in the Starter Boat category at the 2014 Motor Boat Awards gala in London. The Bayliner Element represented a massive shift in Bayliners’ thinking and construction and was further evolution of the strategy of making Bayliner boats easier to own and use.
IPC Marine Media hosted the ceremony which saw 55 finalists throw their contributions into the ring across nine categories. The judges’ panel was comprised of boat testers from Motor Boat & Yachting and Motor Boats Monthly media companies making the awards hotly contested across all categories.
“We are so pleased the Element has achieved the high honour of winning the Powerboat of the Year award. It’s proof that our mission not only to make boating better, but to make boating better for more people, has been noticed by our customers and peers,” said Bayliner Boats President Keith Yunger. “The whole Bayliner team is delighted the boating community celebrates a craft that prioritizes accessibility, safety and a family-centric design. This award acknowledges the smiles and memories Element has already created for families all over the world.”
The Element, available in Australia in a standard and sport version is a truly versatile package offering owners more boat at a reasonable price. The true step aboard nature and simplicity of owning an Element is the key to it’s success. You can tow it with a family sedan, handle it on your own and fit the entire family all in one package.
With its affordable price and safety features, like the patent-pending M-HullTM design that provides 30% more lateral stability, a deep freeboard and high gunnels, all passengers will feel at ease immediately, including those new to boating.
Keith Yunger went on to say
“The Element has exceeded both our expectations and the expectations of new boaters across the world, and this recent award affirms Element’s place on the water.”
