Getting a Boat Licence in SA

You must be 16 years old to apply for a boat licence. If you are aged between 12 and 16 you may be able to apply for a special permit to operate a recreational vessel. A practical test must be taken within six months of passing the written exam.

If you are over the age of 16, getting your boat licence is a straightforward process….
