(SOLD, SOLD , SOLD! - LIST YOURS TODAY!)

Once every "blue moon" a spectacular vessel comes onto the market that draws everyone's attention on the marina! "L'Esprit De Joie" is one such vessel, her gleaming blue hull attracts the eye amongst all the whiteness surrounding her.

Clipper Motor Yachts have been a player in the Australian market since the late 70's and have always been well-regarded in their market segment. The Cordova 52 retains all the advantages of a tradional displacement cruiser but also features a double-chine hull that enables them to get up on the plane. This means that she can effortlessly cruise along at displacement speeds providing economical fuel burn rates but can reach 18 knots or more when needed.

All Clippers include many options as standard. For instance they all have a Bow Thruster, Raymarine Electronics Package, BBQ, Televisions, Stainless Steel Anchor, Complete safety equipment pack, Chain Counters, Inverter, 100m of Anchor Chain, Aritex Stainless Cantalupi lighting, Tecma toilets, Stainless steel engine mounts, Oil changing system and much more.

This example of the Cordova 52 sports extra value:

  • Sidepower Sternthruster (Oversize)
  • Zodiac Yachtline 380 Deluxe Console RIB Tender with 40hp Yamaha
  • ADC tender davit and custom built stainless steel tender cradle
  • Teak laid cockpit and boarding platform
  • Table and folding chairs
  • Meticulous service records

Her layout offers three comfortable cabins, sleeping 6, two bathrooms, a single level living and lower entertaining area comprising galley, saloon and huge cockpit. The large flybridge with wet bar, icemaker and electric grill barbecue offers a second social area that provides comfort for everyone under her hardtop on the expansive L-shaped lounge area.

Visibility for the skipper is exceptionally good from the flybridge, even down through the companionway to the transom when docking. The helm station is well laid out and all the controls can be found easily to hand. The dual Raymarine screens offer plenty of "display real estate" to show the charts, sounder and radar overlay at a size easily viewed on the go.

The lower helm station offers an alternative during the less enjoyable weather that can be experienced when coastal cruising. The comfortable and fully adjustable helm seat provides a good view of the traditional style dash and all the necessary gauges. Her lower helm itself exhibits exquisite timber joinery, it really is a work of art. Equipped with a Raymarine 15' Monitor, Cummins Smartcraft engine monitoring, and Chain-counter it doesn't get much easier.

From the helm station, a starboard side helm door leads out onto the fully covered walkaround side deck for ease of access to the lines and additional visibility if docking.

The stunning U-shaped galley is as practical as it is good looking. The twin stainless sinks are nice and deep, the side-by-side Isotherm Fridge/Freezer combination offers as much storage as you will need and the Smeg 4-element cooktop compliments the convection microwave well.

The saloon is aft of the galley and offers U-shaped seating around a height adjustable table opposite the 32 inch flatscreen television. A Bose Lifestyle Surround sound system provides the ambiance or the suspense as required and the large sectional stainless-framed doors retract back to open up the interior to the outdoor lifestyle of the protected cockpit.

Powered by twin Cummins QSB5.9 425hp electronic six-cylinder turbo-diesel engines with aftercooling that are complimented by both bow and stern thrusters, this stunning vessel is well-equipped for close quarter manouvreing, especially when short handed. Her low hours and the meticulous service regime she has experienced since she was new will stand her new owners in good stead for many more realiable years.

Her normal cruise speed in displacement mode is around 9 or 10 knots and at a fast-cruise planing is around 15 knots. At this speed her revolutions will be around 2550 rpm and she'll have a fuel consumption of approximately 98 litres per hour combined. At 10 knots this drops right back to approximately 36 litres per hour and increases the vessel's range from 397nm to 720nm.

This Cordova 52 will not dissapoint you, not only will your boating be done in comfort and style but it will also be done with an economical turn of speed.
