Constructed from just three major moulds for the hull, deck and liner using Kevlar with core cell foam sandwich material, bound with epoxy and vinyl-ester resins which are vacuum-bagged. This produces an exceptionally strong structurally sound vessel with the result that Marlow’s are certified by ABS and Lloyd’s Register and have achieved the Bureau Veritas unrestricted navigation category. This means they also carry CE Category A ocean rating and meet NMMA / ABYC standards.
The Marlow 57 Classic ( boat no 14) was completed in 2007 and has had just two owners in her short life, each of whom have lavished her with considerable love, and in return, she has shown them may thousands of exciting sea miles which lead to fantastic destinations filled with adventure and fun.
Latitude 20 presents in pristine condition, meticulously maintained to the highest standards. She is fitted with twin Caterpillar C12 705 Hp diesels with only 2500 Hrs on them, coupled to ZF2.037:1 gearboxes driving shafts with 5 bladed Bronze propellers. She cruises at 10 – 12 knots and if required, will do 18 knots. Generators are a Northern Lights 20 Kva and more recently fitted 7 Kva Onan, both with Low running hours. Running both 12 and 24 volt systems coupled with a 4000 W magnasine inverter and relatively new AGM battery banks she has more than ample power to run all her systems.
Accommodation forward is provided by 3 cabins sleeping 6, the main full width stateroom complete with queen bed and ensuite, then fwd and to port are 2 generous single bunks opposite the shower and head and in the forepeak, another spacious double with ensuite. Aft in the lazarette crew / kids’ accommodation is another 2 single bunks accessed through the main deck hatch and has its own shower and head.
Access to the engine room is through this space and is separated by a full height sealed watertight door. The engine room is very spacious, has about 180 cm head height and provides easy access to all of the machinery including air conditioning units, water maker, pumps and the fuel tankage, and central sea chest which feeds all engines and saltwater circulating pumps. Fitted with a fire suppression system, and an emergency 240 V driven high capacity bilge pump, safety is paramount.
The Galley is located forward in the same area as the main helm station and is beautifully appointed with Miele 4 burner hob and electric oven/grill and dishwasher, microwave and extraction fan, a full standard Fisher & Paykel upright fridge. Huge food preparation area, and ample storage space is provided in cupboards and draws. The teak dining table seats 6 and is adjacent the main helm station from where you can command the vessel. There is a single stidd helm seat for the captain.
The saloon is beamy, light and airy, uncluttered with large pained windows, with teak flooring, seating for 12 on leather lounges that can double as berths for 3 extra guests and provide plenty of storage space within . A Sharp 37 inch TV and Bose surround sound system deliver clear satellite TV broadcasts wherever you may be. A full wet bar with dedicated wine fridge and Ice making drinks fridge and extended cabinetry complete this saloon beautifully. Flowing through the double opening doors out onto aft deck there is a custom made teak table to seat 10, enhancing your entertaining capabilities.
Moving up onto the large partially enclosed flybridge with hard top from either the main helm station forward or the stairs off the aft deck there is double stidd helm seating with full instrument panel and extra seating around a teak dining table for entertaining. A full wet bar with ice making drinks fridge, Miele grill and electric BBQ . The 3.8 M Brig RIB with 50 Hp Yahama 4 stroke outboard motor is stored on the aft section of the flybridge and is lifted off into the water by the 500 Kg Aritex Hydraulic extendable deck crane.
She is fitted with Niad stabilisers, Sidepower bow and stern thrusters, and has remote for when you are berthing. Her ground tackle was upgraded to 90 Metres of 13 mm Stainless chain on a 50 Kg stainless steel Bruce anchor.
