NOW SOLD - Launched in 1985 after a meticulous build by Carbineer Yachts in Melbourne, this superb blue water cruising ketch has few equals when it comes to comfortable offshore passage making. Her solid GRP construction, comfortable interior, moderate sail plan and her superbly efficient Laurent Giles lines ensure a smooth ride at sea in all conditions. The Pilot House configuration allows for safe, secure and weather protected sailing in any weather with an internal helm station with full controls for the engine, bow thruster and autopilot at hand. You can enjoy warmer weather outside at her cockpit helm station too.

Comfortable accommodation is provided for up to ten with private two berth forecabin, private 4 berth mid-cabin, a settee in the pilot house and a generously proportioned owners aft cabin with a big double berth plus a single berth. New upholstery throughout adds to her appeal. There are two enclosed electric toilets and a hot & cold shower and she carries 700 litres of water. The galley is all electric with two hotplates and a microwave, all powered by the on-board generator.

Extensively upgraded, repainted and refitted in 2015 with more than $150k spent, she is in lovely condition and comes complete with the cruising gear you would expect. Near new mainsail and mizzen are in-mast furling on her refurbished rig while her headsails also furl making for easy sail setting and reefing. A boom brake is fitted to the main boom for safer handling in fresher conditions.

Powered by a 140 HP Volvo Penta diesel, with new shaft and propeller, she has long range fuel capacity. Her engine room is simply enormous with excellent access to all systems for service and maintenance. A powerful new Vetus bow thruster with controls at both helms makes for trouble free in-port manouvering while an electric Muir windlass makes light work of anchoring. An Avon rigid hulled inflatable dinghy with a 5hp outboard is stowed on stern davits to take you to and from the shore or neighbouring cruisers.

Electronics include HF and VHF radios, Raymarine Radar, Furuno GPS and Plotter, Brookes & Gatehouse Log, Speed Depth and Wind, Coursemaster Autopilot, stereo and TV. She has an Onan Generator, high quality batteries and shore power.
