The Hallberg Rassy needs no words of introduction. Most Hallberg-Rassy owners ket their yacht as a family heirloom for decades, if not forever. Yes, there are a few out there, but if the HR is one of the few boats that hardly depreciates, there are some on the market that have unfortunately been neglected for too long, and which will need extensive refurbishment. To find a Hallberg-Rassy for sale, especially one recently and extensively re-furbished as 'Calle II' is rare anywhere in the world.
'Calle II' has been the home of her Danish family for the past 3 years. They purchased her in the UK, sailed her to Denmark, and began by refurbishing the boat extensively for the following two years before starting their world cruise, ultimately arriving in Fiji where the voyage ends for them and where they will help her new owner learn all about her, and if necessary sail the boat for him / her to Australia or New Zealand if required.
They write: 'We are a family with two kids and our life long dream was taking some years off to go cruising. Our dream boat for safe crossing of oceans has always been a Hallberg Rassy We choose HR42e because she has flush decks and a fact that she is last model built in solid glasfiber with semi long style keel and fully skeg protected rudder.. We found her in UK with only two previous owners. We used two years for throughout refitting. When we left Denmark in summer 2017 she was practically a new boat. 'Calle II' is finished in satin varnished mahogany in very good condition. LED lightning throughout. The floor boards were re-varnished in 2018. All new upholstery in microfibre light grey throughout.
Forward cabin with large V berth and infill cushion to form a double berth. Cooler fan installed. Extensive stowage beneath berths with lockers and shelves above.
Aft cabin through walkway with large hanging locker to starboard, access to heads and shower compartment to port. Heads compartment with new (2018) manual Jabsco marine toilet, holding tank and separate shower with new (2018) shower fittings.
Hot and cold pressurised water (new installation with plastic PVC hoses in the whole boat 2018).
